The Eclipse Jet can maintain a maximum cruise speed of 375 ktas (430 mph). The two P&WC 610F engines on the Eclipse Jet each produce 900 lbs of thrust (1,800 lbs total) on a jet whose maximum takeoff weight is 6,000 lbs. Increased altitude will increase the range of the aircraft. Increased range is not just a minor advantage: the fuel efficiency at 41,000 ft is almost 10 gal/hr better than at 37,000ft!

The Eclipse Jet is the most fuel-efficient twin-engine jet on the planet, consuming a mere 48-59 gallons of fuel per hour in flight while at cruise. Acquisition: Eclipse 550 aircraft delivery dates will begin in 2013 for a base price of $2,895,000. To hold a production position, customers can open a deposit position account with only $25,000.

Eclipse 550 Warranty

Eclipse Aerospace offers a 3-year, Eclipse Factory Warranty for all Eclipse 550 aircraft. For the first 36 months or 1,200 flight hours from factory delivery (whichever occurs first), the factory warranty covers the aircraft for workmanship, parts, and labor. Each Eclipse Jet airframe is warrantied by the factory for 10 years or 5,000 flight hours, whichever comes first. All other aircraft components (excluding consumables) are warrantied for 36 months from date of delivery or 1,200 flight hours.

In addition, Eclipse aircraft are sold with a fully paid up and transferable engine maintenance program administered through Pratt & Whitney Canada. P&WC warranties the engines for 3 years or 1,000 flight hours.

The PW610F turbofan engine has proven to be a major catalyst in creating a new era of business aviation. Compact and lightweight, the PW610F is built with a simplified design that uses fewer parts than a conventional turbofan, making it easy and economical to maintain. Capable of delivering 900 pounds of take-off thrust, the PW610F incorporates the latest technology to deliver highly fuel-efficient power with low carbon emissions. It also comes equipped with dual-channel full-authority digital engine control (FADEC) which translates into reduced pilot workload and engine monitoring with longer time on the wing.

Auto Throttle, Anti-Skid Brakes Receive FAA Supplemental Type Certification

EAI is proud to announce receipt of Supplemental Type Certification for both the Auto Throttle and Anti-Skid Brake (ASB) systems for the Eclipse 550. The Auto Throttle is a first for FAR Part 23 aircraft. The lightweight ASB system is the only ASB in general aviation that does not require a complex aircraft hydraulic system, thereby reducing maintenance and allowing for simple operation with very few components.
