Labace has established itself as the world's second largest business aviation fair, and as Latin America's largest. During the three days of last year's fair, the exhibitors, among them the the largest players in the world market, welcomed over 15,000 visitors. For 2012, the outlook is no different. Even though more exhibition area is available, competition for spaces remains fierce.

Brazil is experiencing a special moment in terms of economic growth and its place in the world. The world is watching what happens here and many companies, especially in the business aviation segment, are alert to the movements of the country's market, undoubtedly one of the most promising today. Moreover, the country is going through major changes in terms of airport infrastructure, with the wave of privatizations and investments. With this, many issues linked to general aviation are on the table, and ABAG is called on to follow all of this very closely, collaborating with the discussions or raising opposition, as necessary.

In parallel, preparations for LABACE 2012 are moving full speed ahead. Much of the space has already been negotiated and one of the biggest changes is the change of dates. As repeatedly requested by our exhibitors, the 2012 fair will be held from Wednesday to Friday, and no longer from Thursday to Saturday, as in previous years. The goal is to make visitation increasingly professionalized and focused on generating business.
