IT Support Specialist
Experience Required: 3-5 Years

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide direct customer support for all client-side systems (desktops, laptops, phones, cell phones, printers, etc…). Cradle-to-grave management of client-side equipment - from initial deployment to disposal. Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various software packages including MS Windows (XP through 7) and MS Office (2010 and up). Responsible for following and maintaining procedures for initial system imaging, automated software delivery, and general hardware/software standardization. Responsible for managing workload using a web based ticket management system. Responsible for basic administration of various SaaS cloud-based solutions; GoogleApps, ZenDesk, etc.
Provide IT suggestions/solutions to system administrators and management that will assist meeting business goals.
Provide basic systems administration (user management) for a large Windows server (2003 and up) environment working closely with System Administrators and/or IT management.
Responsible for ensuring that servers are maintained, backed up, and are recoverable in the event of a failure. Responsible for maintaining systems within a VMware vSphere virtual infrastructure. Establish and maintain systems documentation.
Required: Bachelors’ degree OR 5 to 10 years of experience providing direct customer support in a Windows environment. Knowledge of basic hardware and software troubleshooting. Ability to install operating systems and software. Solid understanding of how to use, and help others use MS Office and other client-side software. 3 to 5 years of experience of Systems Administration experience in a medium to large IT environment. Support and troubleshooting Audio/Visual and Virtual Teleconference equipment. Systems management and monitoring software. Incident management software. Automated system imaging and software delivery software. Backup and recovery software and systems.
Preferred : Certifications: CompTIA A+. Microsoft Certified IT Professional. Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional, VMware Certified Professional. Experience with Siemens and Cisco phone systems. Experience with Cisco UCS servers, Cisco Nexus switching equipment. EMC VNX storage arrays and Avamar backup systems.
The full range of business activities – office environment, aircraft maintenance areas, and aircraft manufacturing areas. Some, minimal travel required. Generally 8:30 to 5:30 with some after-hours and weekend support as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift and carry IT equipment generally less than 70 lbs.
