Master Scheduler


Albuquerque, NM

Experience Required: 3-5 Years
Education Required: High School Diploma

GENERAL SUMMARY

This position is part of the production team and will act as primary liaison between production, quality, supply chain, and engineering. Responsibilities include master scheduling and sub-assembly planning.  The Master Scheduler will also create, track and report weekly performance to build schedule. Must have knowledge of SAP system or famialr systems within MPS or MRP.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, production, supply chain, engineering,  etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Required:

Must have knowledge of SAP system or famialr systems within MPS or MRP

Minimum of 4 years of experience in Master Scheduling, Materials Requirement Planning, Flow Manufacturing or Demand Flow Technology

Able to multi-task in a fast paced, ever-changing, start-up and production environment.

Assist team in meeting identified inventory targets

Must be self-directed, able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, possess strong organization skills and have the ability to perform multiple tasks effectively

Excellent computer skills, ability to analyze numerical data and must be detail-orientated

Must be highly motivated and a team player with a positive attitude and the ability to embrace change

Prepare production plans based on forecasted requirements and inventory goals

Be able to implement inventory strategy for components and finished goods

 

Preferred:

Four year degree in Business Administration or its equivalent

Operations management is a plus

Knowledge of Purchasing and Shipping & Receiving are beneficial
